Front-end developers are responsible for the representation of web apps or websites. They have a responsibility to design a unique and attractive interface for companies. According to the Glassdoor survey, the average salary for a front-end developer is $76,929 in the United State, which will further increase with the experience.
The other most important question is, it is necessary to have a degree in engineering or design? The answer is a big “NO”, anyone who is passionate about it can become a front end developer. You can learn it from Google, Youtube, etc. You can also learn it from a private institute and gets a diploma in it. Sometimes in some cases, a degree can be valuable but once you got the experience you are ahead.
The roadmap for a front-end developer is very simple but you have to put the effort into practicing on a regular basis.
Hypertext markup language abb. as HTML, is the base of any website. It is a code that is interpreted(translated) by web browsers. HTML describes the content of your pages, you can add images, texts, videos, audio or so many things. So, the first step is mastering the HTML usually it will take 4-7 days.
Cascading style sheet abb. as CSS, is not a programming language instead it is used for decoration purposes. In other ways, CSS is used for the decoration of HTML. CSS codes are responsible for how the page will look alike. By using CSS you can also add transitions and animations to your website. Usually mastering CSS takes 5-10 days.
Git and Github
Github is a web-based interface that uses Git, the open-source version control software. You need at least basic knowledge of Github so you can make a website alive on the internet. It is also necessary for front-end developers.
Now, you became a beginner front-end developer and are ready for an internship opportunity. Just select a company and work there to get experience 1+year preferred. Also adding on different skills like famous frameworks for rapid development like Bootstrap, adding React Js will be a plus point and more chances to get a good salary.
