Nexcess, in general, provides outstanding performance and functionality for the money. But it does have certain flaws, so make sure it’s the perfect host for you.
We’ll discuss why Nexcess makes sense and when you should go with a different host at the end of our evaluation.
Nexcess Key Features
Let’s start with a look at the features to get our review started. We won’t go into great detail because you can find everything in the Nexcess marketing copy. But we think it’s important to highlight what you get access to quickly.
If you run a WooCommerce store, Nexcess’ separate managed WooCommerce hosting plans provide a wealth of options to help you succeed. Use Nexcess discount code to get an extra discount on your WooCommerce plan.
First, you gain access to the Nexcess StoreBuilder tool, which aims to make constructing a working WooCommerce store more like a “Shopify” experience by simplifying the process.
Finally, you’ll have access to a large number of free plugins, themes, and eCommerce tools. The exact list will vary according on your plan, however the following are some of the possibilities.
Nexcess Performance Tests
The speed with which your website loads is critical since it has an impact on your users’ experiences, SEO, conversion rates, and more.
Because your website hosting plays such an essential role in the page load times of your site. specially in high-traffic scenarios, it’s critical to choose a host that provides outstanding performance.
We set up our own test WordPress site and put it through two separate speed test tools to evaluate Nexcess’ performance:
WebPageTest – we set it up to run nine different tests and average the results. We can observe metrics like time to first byte (TTFB), Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), and fully loaded time using this method.
WebPageTest just allows us to see the performance of a single visitor. But your site will most likely have numerous visitors at the same time. This is where Load Focus comes in, allowing us to assess if Nexcess can maintain its performance in a high-traffic environment (20 visitors browsing in the same 60-second window).
We built up our test site using a full demo site from the popular Astra theme to create a realistic test environment.

Nexcess User Experience
The dashboard is well-designed and facilitates access to crucial functionality, although it isn’t the most user-friendly dashboard available. Don’t get us wrong: it’s something that most non-technical WordPress users will be able to use with ease. Nexcess discount code, It simply does not provide the same level of simplicity and clarity as something like Bluehost.
The dashboard also lacks some functionality seen on other sites, such as an in-browser file manager (you must use FTP) and a redirect manager.
When you initially log in to the Nexcess dashboard, you’ll see a quick summary of important billing information and notifications.
You must go to Plans (Select Plan) to access the actual management dashboards (Select Site).

However, not all channels appear to be available around the clock, so you may have to rely on ticket help during non-business hours. For example, when we tried to start a live chat at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, there were no live chat operators available, so we had to rely on ticket assistance, Nexcess discount code.
It’s a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to support quality. Although the support service is polite and helpful. Many other users have complained about long response times. And not being able to access live chat assistance 24 hours a day. Seven days a week can be annoying if you have an urgent issue.
